Project description

The Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) projects at 23 locations endeavors to identify locations with very high crash rates that would benefit from safety improvements. This program will evaluate, design and mitigate these locations using high friction surface treatment (HFST).

Why is King County doing this project?

The purpose of this program is to reduce fatalities and serious injury collisions per the state’s strategic highway safety plan "Target Zero".
