King County completes recounts of two races

King County today completed a recount of the Issaquah City Council Position 5 and Shoreline City Council Position 3 races. The Federal Way Schools District 1 manual recount will be conducted on Monday.

The final results were certified at today’s 4 p.m. Canvassing Board meeting at the Mail Ballot Operations Satellite. The recounts did not change the outcome of the races. The races and results of the recount are below.

  • A machine recount in the race for Issaquah City Council Position 5
    Maureen McCarry 2,582 (net loss of 3)
    Bill Conley 2,566 (net gain of 2)
    Write-in 9 (no change)
  • A machine recount in the race for Shoreline City Council Position 3
    Janet Way 7,644 (net gain of 3)
    Paul Grace 7,583 (net gain of 1)
    Write-in 35 (no change)

A manual recount in the race for Federal Way School District 1 will be conducted on Monday.
