I am thankful for this opportunity to serve a community that I have been a part of for over twenty years. I am both a resident and a businessperson in the community, which has given me the experience to view the issues facing our city from diverse perspectives. Using a different perspective, I will work to solve our traffic problem, begin economic revitalization, prioritize capital improvements, implement the Parks and Downtown Plans, and provide fiscal responsibility. I will also be a strong advocate for the Kenmore community in local, state, and regional issues. I will work hard to bring all parts of the Kenmore community together with open and honest communication. In asking for your vote, I will work hard to bring your questions, comments, and ideas into the process of making Kenmore a better community for everyone now and into the future.

Kenmore can become an even better place to live, work, shop, raise a family, and run a business. I will work to revitalize downtown Kenmore by supporting existing businesses and actively recruiting quality development. Having spearheaded development of Kenmore's Parks Plan, I will strongly support continued efforts to improve parks and waterfront access. Finding solutions for traffic congestion is also essential.

Citizen involvement is crucial for these efforts to succeed and stay affordable. I propose increasing opportunities for real dialogue among residents, business leaders, and the City Council so that needs of our entire community are reflected in city plans.

As your Council member, I will bring my experience as a 20-year Kenmore resident, former Planning Commissioner, and volunteer who worked hard for Kenmore's incorporation. I also bring valuable professional experience in budget management, and policy and program evaluation. With your vote, we can build a bright future for Kenmore!
