Schools should be family-friendly, where "customer service" toward parents is paramount. Schools, also, should be where "public service" is delivered to all constituents: in student achievement, improved conditions, and financial responsibility.

As a parent, a ten-year resident of Renton, and a graduate of the University of Washington, I have spent the last several years advocating for pro-child legislation with the Renton PTA because the interests of our community's children are so very important.

I believe public schools should - and can - be better. We need to improve student test scores, the relationship between administrators and the parents and patrons they serve, and accountability over public dollars.

The way I will serve Renton Schools as a Director is as your voice on behalf of your interests.

We have a common investment and future together, in Renton Schools. We can make them better! And together, we will. I appreciate your support. Thank you.
