Take Back Your Meds

Take Back Your Meds

Washington needs a statewide program where residents can take back and properly dispose of their unwanted medicines. A statewide medicine take-back program will reduce access to highly-addictive drugs, reduce the risk of poisonings and reduce environmental contamination.

Take Back Your Meds (external) is a group of health organizations, police, drugstores, local governments, environmental groups, and others in Washington State who support creation of a statewide medicine take-back program. These organizations support legislation that requires drug companies to pay for environmentally sound and secure take-back programs for leftover medicines in Washington State.
