Model Postcard for Businesses The model postcard is provided two ways. One is in Adobe Acrobat portable document format (PDF). In order to view this document, you must have Acrobat Reader software installed on your computer. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer, you can obtain the installation file and instructions at no cost at the Adobe web site. Model postcard in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Thanks to the staff at the Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce office, who designed this postcard for their own use and have allowed us to use it as a model! In this PDF file, there are four copies of the postcard on a page, to make it easier for you to make copies. You can: print the original and copy it to cardstock on a copy machine; print directly to cardstock; print a master and take it to a print shop to have it made into postcards; or print out the paper copies and attach them with paste or tape to cardstock. If you don't have Adobe Acrobat, or if you wish to design your own postcard, here are some suggestions: At the top of the card, leave a space to tape the address label. You can say: "TAPE ADDRESS HERE." It is important to have the address (that you want deleted) taped to the top of the card, not the middle or the bottom, to avoid confusion at the post office. Then you can have a series of check-off boxes. One can say "Delete Address." Below that, if you like, you can have smaller check-off boxes that say, "Info not wanted," "Person no longer here," "Person unknown," "Address Insufficient" or "Other." You can also have a check-off box that says, "Please keep sending mailing, but change info to:" (Then leave spaces for name, title, organization, address.) Finally, we recommend having a check-off box at the bottom that says, "Do NOT place my address on any mailing lists." |
