Lawn Mower Recycling

King County does not sponsor a central collection of old lawn mowers for recycling. Here are some options for recycling your old mower.

Many King County cities have Recycling Collection Events which will take lawn mowers for recycling. Visit the event calendar or contact your Recycling Coordinator by selecting your city from the drop-down menu on the Garbage & Recycling site.

Seattle residents: mowers can be recycled at any Seattle transfer station.

City of Tacoma and Pierce County residents have a recycling event available to them.

Thurston County residents have different recycling events available to them.

Don't forget to properly dispose of your mower's drained fluids. See the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facilities page to find a disposal site near you.

Find businesses that repair or accept lawn mowers for recycling by visiting the What Do I Do With…? Web site
