has been a senior ecologist for the King County Department of Natural Resources since 1986. During that time, Bob have collaborated with other scientists in a long-term study of the effects of urbanization on the structure and function of aquatic ecosystems. This work has focused on the changes in river and stream ecology wrought by changes in land use and management. At present, Bob's work is driven mainly by endangered species listings that have occurred in the Northwest and is concerned with developing and refining an ecological approach to the conservation of salmon and their ecosystems in King County and central Puget Sound.
