Training

King County's Master Recycler Composter (MRC) program provides FREE community education training about waste reduction and recycling topics in exchange for 40 hours of volunteer outreach. You must be a resident of King County outside the City of Seattle to be eligible for this program. The training is a seven-week course that prepares volunteers to educate others about

• waste prevention.
• recycling.
• home composting and natural yard care.
• alternatives to household hazardous wastes.
• solid waste impacts on climate change.

The next MRC training will be held in 2013. Please check back in late 2012 for an application that is required for this training. You can contact the MRC program online or at 206-296-4353 if you have questions about this program.
