Master Recycler Composter

After 27 years, King County’s Master Recycler Composter (MRC) volunteer program has come to an end. Face-to-face community outreach will be provided for King County's Food: Too Good To Waste and Compost More, Waste Less campaigns through three community events:

  • Kent Cornucopia Days (July 14-16)
  • Renton River Days (July 21-23)
  • Issaquah Salmon Days (October 7-8)

Tilth Alliance (formerly Seattle Tilth) offers a countywide Soil and Water Stewardship volunteer training. Volunteers are provided with training about building healthy soil (including composting), water conservation, storm water management and share their knowledge through demonstration projects and workshops in communities. For more information, please contact Chris Hoffer at chrishoffer@tilthalliance.org or 206-633-0451 x108

If you live in the City of Seattle, you can help reduce waste by becoming a Master Composter/Soil Builder. Visit Tilth Alliance for more information.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Karen May.
