LinkUp is a King County program that works to expand markets for selected recyclable and reusable materials by facilitating an interactive community of businesses, public agencies and other organizations. Each year LinkUp selects focus materials that are identified as priorities for King County. The materials selected for 2011 are asphalt shingles, carpet and mattresses.

Projects and Services

LinkUp addresses barriers that prevent recycled materials from moving into the marketplace successfully. Projects may include technology validation, technical assistance, networking, supply chain facilitation, education and training, and strategy development.

Partners

LinkUp creates partnerships with businesses, agencies and other organizations in the Puget Sound area to help increase the collection and processing of recyclable materials, use of recycled materials in manufacturing/production and purchase of recycled-content products.

eNewsLink Newsletter

LinkUp's quarterly e-newsletter provides up-to-date information on the program and its projects, markets for recycled materials, and LinkUp partners.
