Green Building

The green building category is designed to help schools and districts design and construct facilities that use less energy and water, protect natural resources such as soil, and use non-toxic and sustainable building materials.

Schools and school districts may select green building as an optional category in the Green Schools Program. For ideas on how your school and district can design and build greener facilities, review the ideas and tips listed in the green building criteria.
