Environmental Education

Environmental education provides students and staff with opportunities to learn about and consider solutions to environmental problems. Environmental education can occur in the classroom and through extra-curricular activities.

Schools and school districts may select environmental education as an optional category in the Green Schools Program. Review the environmental education school criteria for ideas and tips on how your school or district can expand and improve environmental education. There is one set of criteria for schools and another for school districts.
