Details
Kirkland residents can bring a variety of reusable and recyclable materials collected during the year to Special Collection Events. Check the City of Kirkland's website for more details. The collection event is located in the Lake Washington High School Parking Lot.
Restrictions
ACCEPTED:
Scrap metal and appliances
Fluorescent bulbs and tubes (limit 10 per participant)
Paper shredding
Some Electronic Equipment and computer peripherals (printers, fax machines, scanners, mice, DVD players, VCRs, cell phones)
Lead acid batteries, alkaline batteries
Matttresses and box springs ($10 each, cash only)
Motor oil/oil filters/antifreeze
Styrofoam (polystyrene)
Textiles and resuable household goods
Ties
Cardboard
Propane tanks ($5 each, cash only)
Small camping stove tanks ($1 each, cash only)
Porcelain sinks and toilets ($10 each, cash only)
Refridgerators/freezers/household air conditions ($25 each, cash only)
NOT ACCEPTED:
Chemical cleaning products
Wood and yard debris
Household chemicals
Pesticides
Solvents and Thinners
Latex or oil-based paint
TVs, computers monitors, computers, laptops
Window Glass
Furniture
Carpet and Padding
Painted wood
Plastics
