The King County Solid Waste Division (SWD) operates one landfill and maintains several closed landfills.
Cedar Hills Regional Landfill is closed to the general public. Waste collected at the transfer stations is transported to the Cedar Hills Regional Landfill for disposal.
SWD maintains custodial responsibilities for ten landfills located throughout King County.
