Description: When you buy a new automotive battery, the retailer will usually take your old battery in exchange. Check the Batteries entry in your Yellow Pages for auto parts stores or garages that accept old car batteries for recycling. Some places will actually pay you a bounty for bringing in an old car battery.
Restrictions: It is preferable to take your used automotive batteries to a business that collects and/or recycles them. However, automotive batteries can also be brought to the Wastemobile or any King County Household Hazardous Waste collection site.
Fees: No charge.
Serves businesses and residents.
