Our Planet, R Choices is the latest King County Solid Waste Division assembly show that encourages students to make choices that contribute to a more sustainable school, community and planet. See the brochure (PDF, 147 K) for more details.

See why 99 percent of our teachers consistently rate King County's assembly programs as effective and entertaining. Read what teachers have said (PDF, 348 K) about this and past assembly programs.

The assembly is presented mid-September through December and includes two versions, one primary and one intermediate, with each running about 45 minutes. Schools with more than 350 students receive two assemblies. Use an assembly discussion guide (PDF, 182 K) to do activities with your students before or after the assembly.

Schools that schedule the assembly can receive up to three classroom workshops that expand on the assembly messages. Though the assembly is limited to the first 50 schools that sign up, all King County elementary schools (outside of Seattle) may participate in the Green Team program. Our Green Team specialist will assist teachers and school environmental clubs that want to take on projects to conserve natural resources and protect the environment.

To schedule a program, contact Triangle Associates at 206-583-0655 or workshops@triangleassociates.com.
These programs and services are available to schools in King County (schools within the Seattle city limits are eligible only for the Household Hazardous Waste program) and are provided at no charge to the recipient.
