For a nominee whose job it is to conserve resources and protect the environment, the nomination should clearly state how the nominee goes above and beyond his or her normal work responsibilities.

2008 winners are not eligible for the 2009 award. However, they may be nominated again in 2010.

Criteria

Please follow this format when writing your nomination:

  1. Give a brief description of your project using these headings:
    • Start and end dates (including year)
    • Background
    • Methods
    • Results
  2. What are the positive impacts of this project on student learning?
  3. What are the positive impacts of this project on the environment?
  4. How do the benefits of this project extend beyond the classroom to the greater student body, the school district, or community?
  5. For a nominated person, tell how the nominee demonstrates a commitment to the environment beyond the normal requirements of his or her job?

Answers should be brief, but should provide enough detail to fully describe the project and its impact. Submit no more then two typed pages. Please e-mail your response to Donna Miscolta.

Nominations for the 2009 awards must be received by Friday, February 27, 2009.
