Teresa Gonzalez is a news anchor and reporter formerly with KUNS TV, the Spanish-language partner station with KOMO TV and the Seattle affiliate for Univision, the leading national Latino network.


Nancy Guppy

Nancy Guppy is a comedian and TV host of Art Zone on the Seattle Channel. She was a writer/performer/producer on the KING5 comedy show “Almost Live!” for 10 years. Appearing with her in this video is husband Joe Guppy, a local mental health counselor.


Maria Hines

Maria Hines, executive chef and owner, Maria Hines Restaurants (Tilth, Golden Beetle, Agrodolce), was the 2009 James Beard Award winner for Best Chef: Northwest. She has been featured on Martha Stewart and Iron Chef.


Ayron Jones

Ayron Jones, Seattle-based singer/songwriter/guitarist, leads the three-piece blues rock band Ayron Jones and The Way. Their album was produced by Sir Mix A-Lot. In March, 2014, they opened for B.B. King at the Moore Theatre in Seattle.


Aleksa Manila

Aleksa Manila is a Seattle area drag artist, former Miss Gay Filipino and Miss Gay Seattle, and a drug counselor. In December, 2013, Aleksa received the Dr. Bob Wood Award from Public Health-Seattle/King County for “excellence in HIV prevention.”


M.J. McDermott

M.J. McDermott is the morning news meteorologist for KCPQ13 in Seattle. Along with her degree in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Washington, she has a Theatre Arts degree from the University of Maryland, and is an actress and author.


Brad Miller

Brad Miller, shortstop for the Seattle Mariners, was drafted by the Mariners in 2011 and made his Major League Baseball debut in 2013. While at Clemson University, he won the 2011 Brooks Wallace Award as the top college baseball shortstop in the nation.


Steve Pool

Steve Pool, chief weather anchor for KOMO4 TV evening news in Seattle, has been with KOMO4 since 1977. He has appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America more than 70 times and has hosted more than 25 Seattle Children’s Hospital telethons.


Jeff Renner

Jeff Renner, chief meteorologist for KING5 evening news in Seattle, has been with KING5 since 1977. He also hosts weather and science TV specials and has written several books. Jeff is an avid outdoorsman and has a commercial pilot’s license.


Dr. Sheela Sathyanarayana

Dr. Sheela Sathyanarayana, with the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital, is a nationally-known expert on children’s environmental health. Her research has recently focused on chemical hazards in everyday products.


Michael Saunders

Michael Saunders, former outfielder for the Seattle Mariners (now with the Toronto Blue Jays), is originally from Victoria, British Columbia, and has been with the Mariners since 2007. He was also on the Canadian national team at the 2008 Olympics and 2013 World Baseball Classic.


Eric Tanaka

Eric Tanaka, executive chef and partner with Tom Douglas Restaurants (operating 15 restaurants in the Seattle area), was the 2004 James Beard Award winner for Best Chef: Northwest/Hawaii. He has also been a chef and cook in New York City, Italy and California.


Michael Wansley

Michael Wansley, also known as “Wanz” or “TeeWanz,” is a featured singer on the international hit "Thrift Shop," by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. In January, 2014, he won his first three Grammy Awards.
