Recycled Costume Ideas

Air date: Oct. 28, 2014

This annual segment provides recycled and reused Halloween costume ideas, modeled by local children. For this year’s segment, many thanks go out to the students, parents and teachers from the José Martí Child Development Center (PDF, external) after-school program at El Centro de la Raza in Seattle – children in the program helped make most of the costumes, and will model them. These costumes will also be featured on the KUNS TV Spanish-language newscast, and we are also providing this resource info in Spanish below. Because our regular EcoConsumer segments focus on the environment, this year our costume theme is plants and animals.
