Solid waste facilities open, but admin offices closed due to furlough

Furlough days to ease county's budget crunch
King County is using unpaid employee furlough days as part of its overall effort to reduce expenses in light of the current budget crisis.
The mandatory furloughs mean that King County Solid Waste Division administrative offices, but not solid waste disposal and recycling facilities, will be closed the following ten additional days in 2009:

Friday, Feb. 13
Friday, April 10
Friday, May 22
Friday, June 19
Monday, July 6
Friday, Sept. 4
Monday, Oct. 12
Wednesday, Nov. 25
Thursday, Dec. 24
