2013 Re-Using Contaminated Land Conference

Contaminated sites can harm the environment, contribute to blight and hinder economic development. A Brownfield site is defined as "real property, the expansion, redevelopment or reuse of which may be complicated by the presence or potential presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant or contaminant."
The King County Brownfields Program provides assistance to qualified private individuals and businesses, nonprofit organizations, and municipalities within King County to assess and clean up contaminated sites, or Brownfields.
