Facility Tours

Groups, organizations or individuals can arrange to have a tour of the Solid Waste Division's facilities. Tours must be scheduled in advance of the visit. To arrange for a landfill or transfer station tour, please contact the Cedar Hills Regional Landfill administrative office at 206-296-4490, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Tours are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tours on other days or at other times are considered by special request and are dependent upon the availability of tour guides.

Groups can tour the Cedar Hills Regional Landfill in one of the Solid Waste Division's vehicles, which can accommodate ten people, including the tour guide. Larger groups may arrange for their own van or bus.

Requests to tour the King County transfer stations must be approved by a transfer station supervisor. Specific group size restrictions may exist for transfer station tours, depending on the facility and staffing requirements.
