This draft analysis evaluates the degree to which 10 ecological processes along shorelines of the state are altered. Processes evaluated include sediment, large woody debris, wave energy, light energy, nutrients (phosphorus and nitrogen), pathogens, tidal influences, hydrologic cycle and toxins. The overall quality (low to high) of each shoreline reach was determined according to the degree to which these processes were altered.
