Expect bus reroutes near Westlake Center on Saturday

This Saturday, Aug. 27, the Downtown Seattle Association is hosting “Summer Stop,” an urban beach festival on Pine Street between Third and Seventh Avenues.

The festival features sand sculptures, live music, a chili cook-off competition, and beach volleyball. This year’s Summer Stop will benefit The Moyer Foundation, which is a local charity dedicated to helping children in need.

Pine Street will be closed to traffic in that area near Westlake Center, Metro buses will be rerouted around the festivities for most of the day. It mostly affects bus service on Pine Street and on Fifth Avenue. Check Metro Online for reroute details.
