Five-day closure set for the Tolt Bridge

The King County Road Services Division will close the Tolt Bridge for five days next week. The bridge is located on Tolt Hill Road, spanning the Snoqualmie River, west of Carnation. It will be closed from 7 a.m. Monday, April 11 to 4 p.m. Friday, April 15.

The bridge was closed for two weekends in February to fix a number of potholes on the bridge deck and repave the approach road on each end of the bridge. During that work, crews discovered additional damage to the bridge deck and supports that will be repaired next week.

The mid-week closure was chosen to coincide with spring break for local schools as to not disrupt school bus transportation. During the closure, motorists can detour via State Highway 202 or State Highway 203.
