Southbound detour on Military Road
will last for three months

Construction will start Thursday, Nov. 6 on a sidewalk project along Military Road South in the Boulevard Park area. It will require a three-month detour for southbound traffic.

The King County Road Services Division is installing sidewalks along the west side of the street between South 116th Street and South 120th Street. During construction, the southbound lane in that four-block stretch will be closed. That section of Military Road will be open to northbound traffic only. Southbound traffic can detour via 24th Avenue South.
