Fishy fun detours buses in Issaquah this weekend

The annual Salmon Days Festival this weekend in Issaquah will result in rerouting for two King County Metro Transit routes.

On Saturday and Sunday, routes 209 and 271 will stop at the Issaquah Park and Ride – on Maple Street at the north end of the lot – but the remainder of the routes inside the city will be served Metro shuttle vans. The shuttle service will be disrupted temporarily on Saturday for the 10 a.m. parade and on Sunday for the 5K/10K run at 8:30 a.m.

Metro is not providing the special shuttle service to festival activities for Salmon Days this year. Information about event shuttles can be found on the Salmon Days web site at: http://www.salmondays.org. Please note that Metro and Sound Transit passes and transfers will not be accepted on the privately operated Salmon Days shuttles.

Metro does have regularly scheduled transit service to the three privately operated shuttle parking areas on Saturday, where passengers can connect to the event shuttles. More information about Metro service can be found at Metro Online at: http://transit.metrokc.gov.
