The King County Road Services
Division is studying five alternatives for improving a section of Northeast
Woodinville-Duvall Road to reduce congestion and enhance safety.
An open house on this project will be held Thursday, Sept. 25 from 5:30 p.m.
to 7:30 p.m. at Bellevue Christian Mack Elementary School, 18250 168th
Pl. NE, Woodinville.
More than 22,000 vehicles travel Northeast Woodinville-Duvall Road every
day. This project focuses on the stretch from the Woodinville city limits to
approximately 350 feet west of Avondale Road. The county is also working on a
separate project to improve the intersection of Woodinville-Duvall Road and
Avondale Road.
At this point, five alternatives are under consideration ranging from a
"no-build" option to widening the road to five lanes. All of the alternatives
will be open for comments and suggestions at the open house. People will be
able to view displays of the different alternatives and provide county staff
with their feedback and ideas.
