Metro will provide shuttle service for the big Bumbershoot Festival at the
Seattle Center from two locations in Northgate over the Labor Day weekend.
In addition to the special shuttles, there’s lots of regular service on
Metro to the Seattle Center. Riders should note that regular Metro service will
be operating on a Sunday schedule on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 1.
The Bumbershoot shuttles operate from - and return to - both the Northgate
Park-and-Ride lot on 5th Avenue Northeast at Northeast 112th Street, and from
Bay 5 at Northgate Transit Center just south of Northeast 103rd Street and east
of 1st Avenue Northeast.
The shuttles run on Saturday, Sunday and Monday starting at 9:57 a.m. in
Northgate, with the last shuttle leaving the Seattle Center at 11:27 p.m. Those
attending the festival on Friday, Aug. 29, should use regular Metro service.
Regular fares apply on the Bumbershoot shuttles. All valid transfers and
passes are accepted as payment of fare on both the shuttles and regular
service.
In addition to the Sunday schedule for buses on Labor Day, Metro’s
administrative offices and the bus tunnel in downtown Seattle will be closed.
