Best play on game day - take the bus

Seattle Seahawks [external link] football fans hope to see many big scoring drives this season, but when it comes to driving to games, the smart play is to let King County Metro Transit do the driving.

Starting with the first preseason game this Saturday, Aug. 9, Metro will provide non-stop shuttle service to and from all 2003 Seahawk home games from five different park and ride lots directly to Seahawks Stadium.

For the 2003 season, there have been some changes in service. This year, the Seahawks Shuttles will be serving the following locations: Northgate Transit Center; South Kirkland P&R; Eastgate Interim P&R; and the Federal Way and Kent transit centers.

The game day shuttle buses are marked "Special Shuttle" with "Seahawks Stadium" signs. The fare is $3 cash, per person each way. Exact fare is required, drivers will not carry change. To save time after the game, return trip vouchers may be purchased at the Park and Ride lot. Metro's Visitors Pass will be accepted in lieu of the $3 fare, however no other passes, tickets or transfers will be accepted.

Buses will begin boarding about two hours prior to kickoff, and leave every 20 minutes or when they are full. After the game, return trips to the park-and-ride lots will board from the drop-off points.
