King County Metro Transit is
looking for people to share and review ideas on how to improve transit service
along the Delridge-Ambaum corridor in the Southwest Seattle and nearby
communities.
Metro is seeking approximately 15 transit riders and community members to
serve on its Southwest Transit Sounding Board. The sounding board will begin
meeting in mid-September, and hold ten meetings over eight months. Sounding
board members are also expected to attend two public meetings.
Board members will help Metro transit planners develop ideas for updating
bus service in the fall of 2004. The board will be reviewing potential transit
service changes for Burien, Boulevard Park, South Park, White Center, and the
Delridge and Highland Park neighborhoods of West Seattle.
Anyone who lives, works or uses transit in this geographic area is eligible
to submit an application to serve on the sounding board. The application
deadline has been extended to Wednesday, Aug. 20.
