Work planned for major Renton intersection

King County Road Services Division and the city of Renton are planning significant improvements this fall to the intersection of 108th Avenue Southeast and Southeast 168th Street. Currently, there are more than 9,000 vehicle trips a day through that intersection.

The project includes signal improvements, improved lighting, and adding curbs and sidewalks. There will also be some consolidation of private driveways that feed into the intersection. The goal is to make the intersection safer for all traffic.

A informational meeting will be held on:

Thursday, March 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
at Nelsen Middle School
2403 Jones Ave. S., Renton

For information about the meeting, contact Marnie McGrath, community relations planner, by phone at (206) 684-1154 or by email at marnie.mcgrath@metrokc.gov.
