King County readies for record road-building
year
King County Executive Ron Sims will announce a record countywide
construction season for 2002 on Monday, as he kicks off work on a new major
arterial on the Sammamish Plateau.
The announcement will be made Monday, April 29 at 11:30 a.m. in the
Issaquah Highlands at the site of the proposed 2.95 million-square-foot
Microsoft campus (see directions below).
Sims will be joined by Issaquah Mayor Ava Frisinger, plus representatives
from the developers of Issaquah Highlands, transportation agencies, and members
of the local business community.

elevated, panoramic view of Issaquah, I-90, Lake Sammamish and Cougar Mountain.
DIRECTIONS:
From I-90, take Exit 17
Go north on East Lake Sammamish Parkway
Right on Issaquah-Fall City Road
Right on Black Nugget Road
Follow Black Nugget Road as it curves to the right and enters Issaquah
Highlands
You will be on 15th Avenue
Follow 15th Avenue around the Ashland Circle
Park
15th Avenue dead ends into Park Drive
Take a right on Park and drive through
construction fence to the event area
