King County's Road Services Division is proposing to construct a continuous
two-way left turn lane, bicycle lanes, curbs, sidewalks, drainage systems and a
water quality facility along this stretch of road.
The improvements will improve traffic flow, increase roadway and pedestrian
safety and will bring the sidewalk into compliance with Americans with
Disabilities Act standards.
The project is currently in the intermediate design phase. At the open
house, the public is invited to review and comment on the initial project
designs. The project is scheduled for construction in summer 2003 and has an
estimated total cost of $5.1 million.
