Metro Announces Waterfront Streetcar
Weekend Service Revision

Metro Transit is advising passengers that its Waterfront Streetcar service will be modified this weekend due to construction work on the Alaskan Way Viaduct.  Service will be modified beginning tomorrow morning (Saturday) through the end of service on Sunday.  Streetcar operations are expected to return to normal on Monday morning.

Throughout the weekend, the streetcars will be replaced by diesel coaches, which will operate along Alaskan Way, making stops at or near existing streetcar platforms.  Service will operate in both directions according to normal streetcar schedules.

For additional information on the weekend streetcar modifications, log-on to Metro Online at
http://transit.metrokc.gov/
or call (206) 553-3000.

Metro's Waterfront Streetcar service is being modified due to construction and repair work being performed on the Alaska Way Viaduct by the Washington State Department of Transportation.

For complete information on work being performed on the viaduct go to WSDOT's web site at www.wsdot.wa.gov/regions/northwest.
