Executive Sims statement on the death of Jennifer Dunn
I am shocked and saddened to hear of the sudden death of Jennifer Dunn, one of this state’s most influential leaders in recent times. She was a woman who didn’t let barriers and traditions stand in the way of her abilities, which resulted in her being the first woman in a variety of leadership positions in the Republican Party and in Congress. She was a devoted mother and raised two sons as a single, working mom. Now, her son Reagan has followed in her political footsteps and is a member of the King County Council, a councilmember whom I’ve collaborated with on numerous issues. I extend my condolences to her husband, her sons and family. It is hard to fathom our region without the presence of Jennifer Dunn.
