Executive Sims' statement regarding the death of Coretta Scott King
"As we mourn the loss of Coretta Scott King, we are thankful that she dedicated her life to making this nation a better place for all Americans, no matter the color of their skin. Like her husband, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., she is a great figure in this nation's civil rights movement in her own right. She was a full partner with Dr. King driving change during the height of the civil rights struggle. After his death she carried on his legacy and continued his work to press for human rights and equality for African Americans and all people of color. Coretta Scott King gave the people of this nation and world the gift of her courage, hard work and dedication to civil rights for all."
