Gerry Gawne -

Occupation:President and Founder, Gawne Creative Media in Bothell
Photo of Gerry Gawne Statement:

Forty years of raising my family here makes me passionate about Bothell’s small-town charm, wonderful neighborhoods, great parks and trails.

But City Council could “Break Bothell,” with risky spending and actions changing the character of our City. Example: Council is spending $20,000,000+ on real estate hoping to sell fast in this cold market. Also, Council is enabling addition of 20,000 new residents to the north almost doubling our population. Last year, Council awarded themselves 100% healthcare coverage, paid by taxpayers.

I’ll change Council before they change Bothell. I’ll listen respectfully to you and make common-sense adjustments for this economic crisis.

I’m active in Bothell issues. Making films and documentaries, I’ve worked on national needs like improved Medicare for seniors. My productions locally, have helped raise $5-million for Childhaven’s child abuse prevention.

Endorsements include past & present Council members Patrick Ewing, Tim Tobin, Andrea Perry, Pat Pierce, Sue Kienast.

Del Spivey -

Occupation:Firefighter
Photo of Del Spivey Statement:

As a city council member, I have been a leader and strong supporter of the issues that are important to the citizens of Bothell—stable police and fire departments that provide quality public safety services to the community; reduced traffic congestion and the reduction in neighborhood cut through traffic; maintaining low property taxes; reducing utility taxes and environmental stewardship.

I think “outside the box” to problem solve and be an effective community leader, helping our families and Bothell through our tough economy into a brighter future.

I continue to be an advocate of local jobs, affordable housing, human services, and the senior community. My supporters include the Bothell Professional Firefighters, the Bothell Police Guild, Mark Ericks, and Rob McKenna. I look forward to continuing to serve you on our Bothell City Council. Thank you!
