Saturday, July 19 is the last day for mail in and online voter registrations and transfers for the August 19 Primary. New Washington voters have until Aug. 4 to register in-person to vote. King County Elections will have convenient office hours on Saturday, July 19 and Saturday, Aug. 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. "Over the past six months, King County has processed nearly 237,900 new and updated voter registrations; 42 percent more than this time in 2004," said King County Elections director Sherril Huff. "Judging by the incredible interest, we're expecting a record setting turnout this year." Huff explained the primary reason some voters won't receive their absentee ballot early next month is because they've moved and haven't updated their address. Who can vote? How to register to vote Registering to vote is easy-- visit www.kingcounty.gov/elections, fill out a registration form and mail it to King County Elections, postmarked by Saturday, July 19. Mail-in voter registrations are available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Cambodian, Korean, Laotian, Russian, and Vietnamese. You can also register to vote in person by visiting:
