Election results updated: count continues as certification nears

The King County Elections tabulation team counted 13,106 additional absentee ballots today, which represents all ballots on hand ready to be tabulated.
Election results summary:
- 13,106 absentee ballots tabulated today
- 416,516 absentee ballots tabulated to date
- 179,590 poll ballots tabulated to date (does not include provisional ballots)
Staff will continue to accept timely voted ballots into the verification process until the day before certification on Nov. 28. In addition, the Canvassing Board will soon schedule two meetings to be held prior to certification. Those times will be posted Saturday at http://your.kingcounty.gov/elections/200611/canvassboard.asp
There are approximately 35,000 ballots remaining to be counted and large numbers of ballots continue to be received by mail. This number includes projected provisional ballots we expect to verify and count next week.
Daily results are posted Monday through Saturday by 6 p.m. Signature verification and staging of ballots in preparation for tabulation will resume tomorrow morning. A full results posting schedule can be found at http://your.kingcounty.gov/elections/200611/resultsSchedule.asp
The media room established by King County Elections to assist reporters and other media is closed and will reopen Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
