Last chance to register to vote in November election

King County Elections is extending its office hours to accommodate new Washington voters on the last day for in-person registration: Monday, October 23.

In-person registration is only applicable to first time Washington voters. Forms will be accepted at the King County Elections' office in downtown Seattle on Monday, October 23 from 8:30 to 6 p.m. The deadline for registering by mail or updating your registration information passed on October 7.

King County Elections is located in the King County Administration Building at 500 Fourth Ave, Room 553, in downtown Seattle.

To register to vote in the November 7 General Election:

  1. You must be 18 years old by November 7;
  2. You must be a United States citizen;
  3. You must be a resident of King County.

Who cannot register to vote?

  1. Anyone who does not meet the requirements for registration;
  2. Anyone declared by the courts to be mentally incompetent;
  3. Anyone convicted of a felony that has not had his/her civil rights restored.
