Sept. 28, 2005 Election result update

King County Elections today counted 4,001 additionalballots bringing the total number of ballots counted to 291,373 which includes 52,695 poll ballots.

Of the 601,967absentee ballots issued, 242,505 or 40.29 percent have been returned.

Election officials caution the public from calling close races until all absentee and provisional ballots are counted.

Voters who cast a provisional ballot can check the status of their ballot online at http://your.kingcounty.gov/elections/ballots/provisionalballot/ballotlookup.aspx or call 1-206-296-8683.

Election officials will continue to process and count absentee and provisional ballots daily through Friday, Sept. 30th.

The next absentee ballot count will be issued tomorrow, Sept. 29 at 7:30 p.m.
