May Special Election testing scheduled

King County Elections will conduct a logic and accuracy test of its vote tabulation hardware and software Friday, May 13 at 1:30 p.m. at its Mail Ballot Operations Satellite located at 3901 First Ave. S. in Seattle. This public test is a standard, pre-election procedure to ensure tabulation hardware and software equipment functions properly and is accurately programmed for each election. Following the test, the vote tabulation database will be sealed and secured until Election Day, Tuesday, May 17, 2005.

Officials forecast a 34 percent cumulative turnout among voters in Fire Districts 41 and 44 and the City of Covington.
