PROPOSITION NO. 1
VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER ANNEXATION
The Commission of Public Hospital District No. 1 (Valley Medical Center) proposes to annex the territory described in Resolution No. 830. If approved, the District’s boundaries will be adjusted to better reflect Valley Medical Center’s service area and allow for urgent care clinic services to treat minor emergencies and expanded access to doctors and nurses in areas with a documented shortage of medical services. Residents will be required to pay regular property taxes at the same rate as the existing residents of the District, which for calendar year 2006 is 59 cents per $1,000 of assessed value. Shall the territory described in Resolution No. 830 of the Commission of Public Hospital District No. 1 adopted on March 15, 2006, be annexed to the District?
