Business/Lifestyle:Bothell can be more than merely a place you pass by on your way to Woodinville or Mill Creek. I will work to make Bothell a thriving city where our neighbors and our children will truly want to stay for a day or a lifetime.

My husband and I moved to Bothell because we were attracted to the city's natural setting. As a councilmember, I want to preserve the best of Bothell as we strengthen the economy to provide jobs for residents and services to keep our city safe.

Before being appointed to City Council, I served on the Planning Commission. I currently work as the Policy Director for the Snohomish County Economic Development Council, and hold a Master's degree in Public Administration from University of Washington.

I am dedicated to providing quality city services, while minimizing the impacts of growth on citizens. I support a vibrant community with high-quality schools, safe neighborhoods, and family-wage jobs.

Bothell has much to offer, but has challenges that need solutions. Reducing traffic congestion, protecting the natural setting, and attracting business to our city are my goals as your next City Councilmember. Vote Diana Dollar for Bothell City Council.

This important election will decide who you trust to best protect our neighborhoods, local businesses, natural environment and quality of life we have long enjoyed.

Our next City Council will adopt policies and implement changes to our laws and Comprehensive Plan. Those changes will define the character of Bothell forever. The current Council has made irresponsible proposals regarding residential cut-through traffic, lot-size reduction, high-density housing and policies that weaken environmental protections. They stood by when a regional sewage treatment plant was proposed in a City park. In this weakened economy, they also proposed taxing us for a new City Hall.

I dedicate myself to protect the integrity of our neighborhoods and unique community character.

Profile: 12-year resident; married; two children; past Planning Commissioner; boardmember Maywood Hills PTA and Northshore Youth Soccer Association; baseball and soccer coach; 17-years professional experience in design engineering; degrees from UW and Stanford.
