  Occupation: Businessman

  Mike has served on the Valley Medical Center Board for seven years. He has promoted growth and improvement in quality health care at Valley Medical Center which has been recognized by Kent and Renton chambers with their leadership and community service awards. The emergency department was also expanded with Mike's direction. The Kent, Covington, Fairwood and Newcastle clinics have all been built with Mike's support over the past seven years. Mike's 30+ years of experience in the banking business provides the hospital with valuable oversight and financial expertise.

  Mike served on the board of the MRI/cat scan joint venture on the Valley Medical campus and he helped facilitate comprehensive cardiac care through the Swedish Heart Alliance. Mike serves on the finance, credentialing and clinic steering committee and currently serves as Vice President of the Board.

  Mike has remained active in community service. He is the former president of the Kent School Board, and Kent Chamber of Commerce. He also served on the Board of the Washington Research Council and is a current member of the Rotary Club of Kent. A Washington State University graduate, Mike and his wife Kay live on the east hill of Kent.
