Candidates:

Grant Degginger — Nonpartisan

Grant Degginger has worked hard to keep Bellevue moving in the right direction. As a councilmember, Grant has helped deliver transportation improvements and expanded transit service for Bellevue. He has also led a successful effort to streamline regulations and has been working to make sure that Bellevue has a long-term, stable water supply. Currently, Grant is serving as Bellevue's Deputy Mayor.

Grant believes Bellevue must continue to take an active role in the regional efforts to improve transportation and attract and keep jobs. Grant is committed to keeping Bellevue a safe place with quality police and fire services, protecting neighborhoods and enhancing Bellevue's parks system.

Raised on the Eastside and a Bellevue resident for over 20 years, Grant is an attorney in private practice. Grant and his wife Kathy have two sons and they have been active in scouting and youth sports.

John Albertson — Nonpartisan

I offer my 20 years of experience in capital projects, business operations, problem-solving, and adaptation of technology. My campaign is not funded by Bellevue's special interests.

Bellevue's economic development must align with modern transportation solutions. We are a people-diverse community, yet our economic diversity is impeded by over-dependence on retail and service sectors.

Bellevue citizens sacrificed together in the last century to create an irreplaceable community. These efforts are dishonored when we allow Bellevue become de-forested, over-urbanized, and polluted.

Bellevue residents have a lifelong right to a pristine drinking water supply. My opponent leads the effort to privatize Eastside water supplies with treated sewage water from Pierce County.
