COUNCIL POS. NO. 07, 4 YR TERM

Candidates:

Mike Stewart — Nonpartisan

Mike Stewart moved to Redmond in 2000 and is a software professional working for Microsoft. Mike is a former United Methodist minister.

Mike believes that there are alternatives to the traffic congestion we all suffer and is a strong supporter of mass transit and alternative forms of transportation - he's an avid cyclist and regularly commutes by cycle to work.

Mike's also a strong supporter of Redmond parks and open spaces as long as they can be managed in a fiscally responsible manner.

Stewart has fresh ideas on old concerns, therefore he has decided to run against the current 12 year incumbent. It is time for a change in how the City of Redmond is tackling issues such as growth, growing traffic congestion, and maintaining the environment. Redmond needs your vote for a watchdog like Mike.

Jim Robinson — Nonpartisan

I have lived on the eastside for over thirty years, this is my home and I am here for the long term. Given the opportunity to serve another term, my priorities will be as follows: Trust: In a time of declining tax revenues and budget shortfalls Redmond should be concentrating on basic infrastructure projects. I will continue to be a strong advocate for sensible priorities. Community: Redmond must continue doing its part in providing a safe, livable and prosperous community for all its citizens. To that end, I will continue to advocate and support funding for local transportation improvements, park development, and the fostering of cultural and ethnic diversity. Environment: We need regulations that protect our environment not just drive-up our cost of living. As a result, I will continue to work for common sense solutions to these basic land use issues.

Experience, Integrity, Dedication - Re-Elect Jim Robinson
