List of Candidates for
SHORELINE FIRE DEPARTMENT COMMISSIONER POS. NO. 02:

Kate
WILLIAMSON

I am a 22 year resident of Shoreline currently serving as chairman of the board of commissioners of your fire department. As a twice-elected commissioner, I have worked 12 years to ensure the highest level of service is provided with your tax dollars. To meet this service level I have worked within the organizational structure and the needs of our fire fighting and emergency service personnel. As a cost accountant and budget analyst with 20 years experience, I helped shape annual budgets that have put the growing needs in Shoreline into real time development now. The capital improvement project has successfully brought two new neighborhood fire stations on line, increased manpower and a training/administration building that is being built now. These new structures will ensure that Shoreline has the highest level of fire and emergency protection for the next 20 years.

Help me continue to work for YOU.

FISHER

Education: AA Degree in Fire Command and Administration

For 27 years I have faithfully served the citizens of the community of Shoreline as a firefighter-EMT, inspector, and finally in the last 4 years as your Fire Marshal, retiring in September 1999. One of my major goals while serving as Fire Marshal was to reinstate a public education specialist in the fire department. This was finally accomplished approximately a month prior to my retirement. I believe I am the best candidate for this position because of my experience and knowledge of the fire service in Shoreline, and it is the one business that I know very well. Because I have lived and worked in Shoreline for 29 years I understand the needs of this community. I have volunteered as a youth soccer coach, Cub Scout master, and for the Shoreline Arts Council.

LeRoy Drake
SISLEY

As a 12-year resident and concerned citizen of Shoreline, I believe our Fire Department and Medic One service's need a Commissioner that understands the inner workings of a modern Fire Department. I have been a member of the Fire and EMS industry for over 20 years as both a paid and volunteer Firefighter and an EMT. I have worked with many charitable foundations and served on several union boards during my career and have experience in negotiating contracts and managing budgets.

As your Commissioner, responsible use and management of resources will be a top priority as well as issues that will improve Firefighter safety.

I would consider it a privilege to serve as your Commissioner and will dedicate my time and energy on your behalf. Endorsed by Shoreline Firefighters Union Local 1760.
